Anne Canel, the founder of BOARDS, brings over 20 years of experience as a CFO, COO, auditor, and interim manager. She currently serves as an independent director for a wide range of organizations, including many investment funds such as Groupe Weber, NewSpace Capital, and EOS Investment Management, among others, as well as for ING Bank and the insurance companies Foyer Global Health and TransRe Europe. Her expertise lies in governance and corporate finance services.

Her career began with financial roles in OpCos, the Big Four, and nonprofit organizations in Paris, eventually leading to her position as CFO at the Fondation de France. She then moved to Luxembourg, where she served as a Philanthropy Advisor at the Fondation de Luxembourg SA, followed by CFO roles at PwC, Vanksen, and as an independent financial director. She has also been an independent CxO for Sherpas since 2011. She later led the establishment of HLD EUROPE in Luxembourg as COO and then Partner, from 2014 to 2021, during which the young investment fund, founded in 2010, achieved a cumulative turnover of nearly 2.5 billion euros. She subsequently became CEO of Oger Investissements SA, where she once again established the Luxembourg branch.

Anne Canel is a graduate of the Order of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Statutory Auditors. She completed her studies in Economics and Finance at Sciences Po Strasbourg. She also holds a Corporate Director Certificate from Sciences Po, a Risk Management Certificate from ICHEC Brussels, and has recently completed two programs at MIT: one in Management and Leadership (focusing on AI, IoT, Blockchain, and Cybersecurity), and another in Neuroscience for Business.
